Troughs Carved from a single block of stone, these antique troughs are often detailed with a simple directionally scored pointing. With a half-century’s daily use by farm animals the interior top edges are worn smooth from repeated rubbing of the stone’s edge. Most include hitching holes carved near their top where animals where tethered while they drank. Incorporate in your home or garden as a planter, water feature or stand-alone ornament. As with all our antique items, troughs vary in size, wear and patina. It’s what we believe gives these objects their intrinsic beauty and charm. |
